Living Rivers Europe event: Green sponges for water & climate resilience

The Living Rivers Europe Coalition, a coalition of six environmental and angling organisations (EAA, WWF, EEB, ERN, The Nature Conservancy and Wetlands International) is hosting – in light of the European Commission’s EU Green Week – a partner event in Brussels entitled “Green sponges for water & climate resilience” to debate on water storage & climate resilience.






On 29 May (08:30-11:00AM), the Living Rivers Europe coalition invites you to take part during their EU Green Week partner event "Green sponges for water & climate resilience". 

Together with representatives of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Permanent Representation of Portugal, industry & landowner organisations, and others, the Living Rivers Europe (LRE) Coalition will debate in 2 panel discussion how to lessen the impact of climate disasters like floods & droughts. The conversations will also tackle the benefits of nature-based solutions in the field of water resilience.
